Anchor Support

Anchor Support

Anchor pole supports are supports that are locked in the material with the help of anchors. Their tips are cross-crested, which guarantees a firm grip of the support with its base. Anchors are special fastening mechanisms used to lock and bind massive and complex constructions.

Anchor classification and technical characteristics

Anchor fasteners are manufactured from high-quality steel in compliance with the GOST standards. Basically, anchor bolts are threaded rods of various lengths with a fixing mechanism at the end. All types of anchors have a tapered nut and a bushing washer, which are the basic elements of the anchoring process.

In the process of screwing the anchor into concrete or another type of base, the nut is deformed, which ensures a very strong grip. It is practically impossible to pull out the pole.

There are two main types of anchors – chemical and mechanical. In addition, they are classified by their size and mounting configuration. According to the constructional characteristics of these elements, they can be temporary or permanent.

Use of anchors

This type of binding is mostly used for heavy and bulky constructions; they come in handy when you have moving elements. In addition, anchors are often used to attach large constructions to their foundations. The main spheres of anchor use are:

  • Securing and attachment of the equipment to the foundation;
  • Construction of balconies, railings, consoles, and fences;
  • Erection of suspended systems.

Anchor installation

The installation process of standard anchor bolts is rather simple and can be done even by a beginner construction worker. First, you need to make a hole of a corresponding diameter to fit the anchor size. After cleaning the hole from dust, screw the nut as tightly as possible so that the slide cylinder breaks open in the concrete. Next, the nut is unscrewed, the necessary equipment is screwed to the pin, and the nut is again screwed tightly. It is all even easier when using chemical anchors; these are inserted into a hole in the concrete foundation and then the pin is screwed in.

Use of anchor base plates

Anchor base plates are used for the installation of aluminum sports which are first bedded into the ground and encased in concrete. This method is used in, for example, parks where an anchor base is embedded into the foundations to later install lighting support poles. For these purposes, specialists recommend chemical anchors.

Advantages of anchor base plates

Anchor base plates are relatively lightweight, which is a huge advantage during transportation and assembly. They are the perfect choice for the foundations that are arranged right at the support installation site. Such constructions make long products much more durable and provide high safety rates.

Here are some benefits of anchor base plates:

  • They can withstand significant loads;
  • They are safe and reliable;
  • They significantly increase the load-bearing capacities of the construction.

Production of anchor base plates

To manufacture anchor base plates, we use carbon steel. Then, the product is coated with oxide paint to protect it from corrosion. The durability coefficient of the anchor base weld line starts from 0.95. Anchor plates can be manufactured in a variety of sizes and with different hole configurations depending on the client’s need. A custom order by the client’s blueprints usually takes about two weeks. All products are manufactured in compliance with GOST standards and according to the actual operating conditions of the product.

Configuration

Anchor base plate – an insert plate is attached to the material with the help of anchors. The anchor tip is cross-crested (similar to building bars), which provides a firm grip of the base plate with the foundation.

Anchor base plates are made from carbon steel and later undergo hot dip galvanizing. The durability coefficient of the anchor base weld line is no less than 0.95.

To attach the anchor base of a pole, it is recommended to use chemical anchor bolts or injection resin.

On our website, you can order galvanized anchor base plates for poles and posts of various sizes, with customized locations of holes. Execution of an order by a custom blueprint usually takes about two weeks.
